Time to Unite: Albania and Albanians
By Flamur Bucpapaj

But Kosovo is Albanian land. Just like Vlora, Saranda, Tropoja, or Kukës, Pristina, Peja, Gjakova, and Presevo are also part of the same national trunk.

“A nation cannot be overthrown from outside unless it is shaken from within. Our strength lies in the unity that stems from awareness, dignity, and the courage to defend the truth.”

“The borders of Albania will be restored where history and the blood spilled for freedom have determined them. No one can stop this path, especially not those nearing their end – Serbia and Russia. As long as there is Albanian blood, Albania will exist.”

Warning against any anti-national coup attempt:
Any attempt to destabilize the constitutional order and sabotage nationwide unity is a blatant coup against the Albanian nation. Any force acting in the service of foreign agencies—spreading division, defaming our flag and history—will face total rejection by the people and the law. Albania is no longer undefended. National awareness is awakened. If repeated, we will punish anyone who desecrates our flag. The Albanian National Army will act. We say no more. This applies on both sides of the 1912 border.

Recently, in certain circles in Kosovo, a dangerous anti-Albania sentiment has been gaining momentum—a propaganda not born from the heart of the Albanian people, but fed by dark foreign interests, especially from Serbia and its services. This atmosphere spreads division, denies history, and seeks to build walls between Albanians in Albania and those in Kosovo.

But Kosovo is Albanian land. Just like Vlora, Saranda, Tropoja, or Kukës, Pristina, Peja, Gjakova, and Presevo are part of the same national trunk. We share one language, one flag, one blood. We have a common memory of war, a shared history of sacrifice, and a future that cannot be written separately.

In Albania, we have welcomed and supported our brothers from Kosovo with open hearts, fought together for freedom, and shed blood for the red and black flag. This flag is not just an ordinary object—it is our sign of life, a heritage of generations, our honor and pride. With it, we’ve entered weddings, covered our martyrs, and sworn oaths for freedom.

The Albanian state, beyond rhetoric, has a duty to act more for all Albanians—from Presevo to Malesia, from Ulcinj to Skopje, from Mitrovica to Kukës.
This must be done through concrete projects: schools, roads, Albanian-language books, joint military exercises, financial support, pensions for veterans, and above all—coordinated policies that strengthen inter-Albanian ties.

Tolerating those funded by Serbia and working against our national interests must end immediately. Anyone paid to denigrate Albania and our flag must be exposed. Their names, sources of funding, and activities must be made public. Silence about them is complicity with the enemy.

It is also imperative that every Albanian, wherever they are, has the right to Albanian citizenship. The Albanian state must provide institutional support to every Albanian citizen beyond its official borders. Albanians must stay united—let us not allow ourselves to be divided.

It’s time to be clear: it is not patriotic to attack Albania while speaking Albanian and claiming to represent the people. It is not courage to burn the red and black flag and insult the Albanian state for the benefit of Serbia or any foreign agenda. It is, in fact, an act of treason.

Albania, with all its challenges and shortcomings, remains the pillar of national existence. It is the place that preserves the Albanian language, history, culture, and dignity on the international stage. Yes, perhaps it has not always done enough for our compatriots in the region—but that is a reason to improve it, not to deny it.

Today, more than ever, we must build bridges among Albanians. Albania and Kosovo are not two foreign states—they are two hearts of one nation. They must work together for a joint army, a harmonized education system, a common economic market, a coordinated diplomacy, and above all—for a shared ideal: national unification, in action, not just in words.

We do not have the luxury to remain indifferent, while secret funding and propaganda platforms try to convince us that we are “different,” that Albania and Kosovo don’t need each other. This is a lie that only serves Belgrade and those who fear a united, strong, and aware Albanian nation.

Therefore:

Let us begin by opening Albanian state offices in every municipality where Albanians live.

Let us create a National Unification Fund to finance economic, cultural, and educational projects across all Albanian territories.

Let us demand automatic Albanian citizenship for every Albanian—from Chameria to the Presevo Valley, from Ulcinj to Skopje, from Prizren to Tetovo.

Let us organize regular pan-Albanian summits, where leaders, intellectuals, military personnel, and youth can set the national agenda for the decades ahead.

And above all:
Whoever desecrates the flag, insults Albania, or works for foreign interests against our nation—must be brought to justice. There is no room for compromise with spies, Serbian collaborators, and those who serve dark salaries against their own blood.

National Security and Active Counterintelligence
Strengthening of Albanian and Kosovar Intelligence Services, with joint coordination, to monitor, identify, and neutralize every element acting on behalf of Serbian services.

Joint military exercises and security training, to build common defense capabilities against hybrid threats.

Support for the Diaspora and Albanians Outside Official Borders

“The borders of Albania will be restored where history and the blood shed for freedom have determined them. No one can stop this path—especially not those who are approaching their end: Serbia and Russia. As long as there is Albanian blood, Albania will exist.”
