Greeting and congratulations on the 27th Anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo

Dear Albanian compatriots wherever you are,
On this sacred day of our national history, I extend my deepest respect and greetings on the 27th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo and the entry of NATO forces, a moment that changed the course of history and brought the light of freedom after a long period of suffering and injustice.
This liberation would not have been possible without the sacrifice of the Albanian people and the unwavering resistance of the liberation struggle, as well as without the decisive support of our historical friends in the democratic world.
With deep gratitude, we remember the vital role of the United States, which stood on the side of justice and freedom at the most decisive moments in Kosovo’s history. Its intervention and engagement, together with Western allies, was a guarantee for stopping violence and opening the path to peace.
Equally important is the contribution of Albania, which has continuously supported Kosovo on its path toward freedom, state-building, and international integration, always remaining close as a natural historical and national brother.
On this difficult journey, we honor with special respect the sacrifices of the martyrs and heroes of the KLA (UÇK), as well as the symbolic figure of resistance, Adem Jashari, who became the foundation of freedom and national dignity.
Today, Kosovo stands as living proof that freedom is won through sacrifice, but preserved through wisdom, unity, and strong international friendships. Partnership with the democratic world, especially with the United States and NATO, remains the greatest guarantee for peace, stability, and the future of the region.
On this anniversary, let us reaffirm our belief in the values of freedom, democracy, and cooperation, building a safer and more prosperous future for generations to come.
