On this solemn, sacred, and historic day for our nation, with humility and pride alike, on my own behalf and on behalf of Nacional Media, I extend my sincerest congratulations to the people of Kosovo on the anniversary of their eternal Independence.
This day is not merely a date on the calendar. It is a historical testament. It is the collective memory of a people who for centuries were denied, oppressed, displaced, and massacred, yet never surrendered. Kosovo’s Independence is the victory of justice over violence, of life over annihilation, of freedom over tyranny.
Kosovo emerged as a state not by coincidence of circumstances, but through the determination of a people who refused to disappear. It was built upon the sacrifice of generations, the resilience of families, the blood of martyrs, and the unshakable belief that freedom is an inalienable human right.
Today, Kosovo stands free, independent, and sovereign — an irreversible political and historical reality. It is a state born of suffering, yet walking toward the future with dignity, democracy, and international responsibility. Its independence is not temporary, but an enduring and permanent truth.
We, as Albania, are one with Kosovo in every dimension of our national existence. One in language, in history, in culture, and in ideals. The relationship between Albania and Kosovo is not built on transient interests, but on a spiritual and national bond that has survived centuries of forced division and historical injustice.
Albania has been, and will always remain, by Kosovo’s side — in the struggles for freedom, in state-building, in facing challenges, and in the shared path toward Euro-Atlantic integration. This national unity is our greatest asset and our strongest guarantee for the future.
On this solemn occasion, we bow with the deepest respect before the martyrs of freedom, the national heroes, and every family that paid the highest price for this day. Their sacrifice is the foundation upon which free Kosovo stands and the moral compass that must guide every decision of the future.
A special, sincere, and eternal expression of gratitude goes to the United States of America — the strategic ally, the great friend, and the historic guarantor of Kosovo’s freedom, democracy, and victory.
The United States was the moral and political force that stopped annihilation, protected innocent civilians, and opened the path to Kosovo’s freedom. It was and remains the central pillar of security, stability, and democratic orientation for Kosovo.
The friendship with the United States of America is not merely a military or political alliance; it is an alliance of values, principles, and democratic civilization. It is the guarantee that Kosovo will continue forward on the path of democracy, the rule of law, and lasting peace.
On this major anniversary, we reaffirm our shared commitment that Kosovo’s Independence will be defended, strengthened, and passed on from generation to generation. That freedom is not only won, but must be protected every day with responsibility, unity, and national vision.
Let this day be not only a celebration, but also a solemn pledge — to justice, to democracy, to dignity, and to the future of generations to come.
